Dr. Sarah Anzola DACM, L.Ac.

Dr. Anzola, the founder and lead practitioner of Templ Wellness, received her Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology at the University of Texas (Austin) in 2012. While studying the relationship between humans and their environments at UT, she discovered her interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine. She attended the American College of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Houston where she received her Masters Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine, followed by her Doctorate Degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in 2019. She completed her internship and advanced studies in Tianjin, China at Tianjin University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. While attending school, she completed training as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and worked for 4 years as a Certified Infant Care Specialist, and Birth and Postpartum Doula. After obtaining her Doctorate Degree, Dr. Anzola joined the Houston Methodist Hospital’s team as one of the first lead TCM practitioners within their Wellness Center. Dr. Anzola is licensed to practice by the Texas Medical Board, holds credentials as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, and is Nationally Board-Certified in Acupuncture, Biomedicine, Oriental Medicine, and Chinese Herbal Medicine.

Dr. Sebastian Bonilla MD (Ecuador), MAOM, L.Ac.

Dr. J Sebastian Bonilla graduated from Med school in Quito Ecuador in 2014 as one of the top 3 in his promotion and the best 10% nationwide. He started his journey as resident in hospital environment, in pediatrics and OBGyn ward primarily and also in internal medicine. He also had experience in private practice as well. He came Houston in 2017 and receive his Masters degree in Acupuncture and Chinese medicine in 2020. Since then he has been helping patients with autoimmune issues, fertility, cancer/chemotherapy side effects and musculoskeletal problems. Now adays he focuses in his knowledge of Chinese medicine in pediatrics, sports medicine and men’s health. Sebastian’s mother tongue is Spanish but is fluent in English and knows a little French.

With a gentle and intuitive approach, Dr. Kuo combines acupuncture, herbal medicine, and lifestyle guidance to support each client’s unique healing journey.

When not in the clinic, Dr. Kuo enjoys exploring new cultures and destinations through travel, always seeking fresh inspiration and natural healing traditions from around the world. A passionate animal lover, she also fosters cats and dogs providing a safe and nurturing home for rescues until they find their forever families.
